Bridgette Dixon

Assistant Office Manager
R.V.T.
Bridgette graduated from the Veterinary Technologist program at St. Lawrence College in 2013. Bridgette then went on to do her 3 placements and required examinations to become a Registered Veterinary Technologist. Bridgette did one of her placements at the University of Saskatoon in a research lab assisting on research for Breast Cancer. She then moved on to her placement here at Cranberry Hill, where she gained more experience in a clinic setting. Her third placement was also in Kemptville at Ottawa Valley Large Animal Clinic, where she had the chance to broaden her expertise in equine medicine. Bridgette then got the opportunity to join the team at Cranberry Hill Animal Hospital.
Along with her general technical duties, Bridgette plays a key role in follow-up care for some or our chronic patients, routinely discussing patient progress with pet owners and reporting findings back to the appropriate veterinarian. Bridgette’s focus is always on the animal; their care and comfort are her priority. She plays a major role in helping our practice monitor and fine-tune treatment protocols. Her special interests include anesthesiology, nutrition, and reproduction.
Bridgette enjoys being outdoors, riding, and showing horses in her free time. Bridgette recently adopted a 4-year-old Great Dane named Calliope, who definitely takes up the whole back seat of Bridgette’s car!
